Japan Finances a New Bridge Across River Nile

 

 

 

The Government of Japan will finance the total of JPY 9.198 billion (approximately USD 102 million) in a Yen Loan for the construction of a new bridge across River Nile at Jinja. This raises Japan’s loan contribution to Uganda in 2010 to $190 million in total.

 

The Exchange of Notes for the Project between the Government of Uganda and the Government of Japan as well as the Loan Agreement between the Government of Uganda and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have been signed on November 1, 2010. The signing ceremony took place in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Kampala.
