Installation of water pipelines and tap stands
During the dry seasons, children’s learning was interrupted as they had to collect water from as far as 10 kilometres. This consequently affected their academic performance. This project enabled the provision of safe water to the school and the community around the area and thus, reduced the amount of time spent by pupils collecting water from far.
2. Handing Over Ceremony
The Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Uganda, Mr. Masaki Shiga attended the handing over ceremony for the water pipelines and tap stands at Rwakaterere Primary School in Mbarara on 16th June 2010.
