Isingiro is a relatively new district curved out of Mbarara. The district is facing a number of challenges including inadequate educational facilities. Most of the existing structures are too old or dilapidated. The pupils of the selected three primary schools did not have enough structures and some of them had to study under the trees. Pupils often were interrupted by rain and dust, which made it difficult to complete the syllabus and compete favourably with the rest of pupils in Uganda. The project benefited over 1,410 pupils from the three selected schools.
2. Handing Over Ceremony
The Ambassador of Japan to Uganda, H.E. Mr. Keiichi Kato attended the handing over ceremony at Burungamo Catholic Primary School in Isingiro District on 3rd February 2011.
