While access to safe water in Kamwenge District is 51%, in Kyakarafa Parish of Busiriba sub-county, the entire 7 villages have only 3 springs and one shallow well. Lack of access to safe water has also caused health problems in the area, including typhoid and cholera. In conjunction with GGP project, the organisation will provide hygiene promotion trainings to the target communities.

 

2. Handing Over Ceremony

 

H.E. Keiichi Kato, Ambassador of Japan to Uganda, attended the handing over ceremony at Kyakrafa trading centre in Kamwenge District on 17th March 2011.
