Bukooli College is a government aided senior secondary school which was founded by the community in 1981. The school is located in Bugiri District in Eastern Uganda and has currently 2,548 students, the highest enrollment number in the area. Despite increasing number of students, the school has a very small dormitory for girls where only 54 students are accommodated. As a result, many girl students have to commute for a long distance exposed to many risks on their way. It has led to a high dropout rate of girl students. Through this project, a new dormitory will be constructed and the school will be able to accommodate some 340 girls, greatly improving the learning environment for the girl students.
