The project site is situated in Busoga region in Eastern Uganda. The region has 10 districts with a population of about 4 million. The area suffers from low agricultural productivity due to relying on man-power agricultural method, thus creating difficulties in meeting an increasing food demand of growing population in the area and placing the people in poverty. This project will introduce modern agricultural techniques by providing oxen, carts, ploughs and technical training to contribute to poverty reduction, improving the productivity and living conditions for the people in the area of 1,160 households.

 

 

 

2. Grant Contract Ceremony

 

The Ambassador of Japan to Uganda, H.E. Kazuo Minagawa, has signed the grant contract with Mr. Owor Peter Minor, Programme Coordinator, on 6th March 2013 at the Embassy of Japan.
