GGP Grant: Japan Constructs a Classroom Block at Apuuton Primary School in Katakwi District

Unveiling the plaque
On 19 December, Ambassador Sasayama attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of a Classroom Block at Apuuton Primary School in Katakwi District” to hand over the newly constructed 5-classroom block with a set of furniture.

Government Officials from Katakwi district, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.
 
The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 69,336 USD, equivalent to over 256 million Ug. Shs, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
 
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of students' academic performance at Apuuton Primary School by alleviating classroom overcrowding and ensuring the provision of quality education through the establishment of an appropriate learning environment.
