The Embassy of Japan in Uganda handed over a newly constructed classroom block with 72 three-seater desks and 2 latrine blocks to Obalanga Primary School in Kapelebyong District.

The school received 67,986 USD, equivalent to over 240 million Ug. Shs, to conduct “The Project for the Construction of a Classroom Block at Obalanga Primary School in Kapelebyong District” through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).

We expect an improvement of the learning environment at Obalanga Primary School by reduced population density in classrooms from an average of 131 to 99 pupils per classroom and the number of users per toilet unit from 300 to 105 pupils respectively.
