On 21 August, Deputy Ambassador Yoshimura attended the handover ceremony of the newly constructed classroom block with 90 three-seater desks to Nakiloro Community Primary School in Moroto District.

Through the project, an additional classroom block has been constructed at the school and all classrooms (5 classrooms in total) have been furnished with a number of furniture  which now enables the school to meet the national standard (53 students per classroom), equipping pupils and teachers with an appropriate environment for learning and teaching.

This project, titled “The Project for the Construction of a Classroom Block at Nakiloro Community School in Moroto District” (Grant amount: USD 44,446), was implemented under the Japanese Government's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme, in response to a request from Insieme Si Puo in Africa, a local organization active in the area.
