GGP Grant: Handover Ceremony for The Project for the Construction of a Classroom Block at Angweta Primary School in Oyam District

On 4 December, Deputy Ambassador Norimasa Yoshida attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of a Classroom Block at Angweta Primary School in Oyam District” to hand over the newly constructed 4-classroom block.
Government Officials from Oyam District, such as the LC3 Chairperson, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.
The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 53,693 USD, equivalent to over 186 million Ugandan Shillings, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of the students' academic performance at Angweta Primary School, by alleviating classroom overcrowding and providing adequate classroom furniture for pupils.
