GGP Grant: Opening Ceremony for the Skills Training for The Project for the Provision of Second-hand Ambulances and Fire Trucks in 2 Cities and 11 Districts in Uganda

On 10 December, Deputy Ambassador Norimasa Yoshida attended the opening ceremony of the skills training held by the Japan Firefighters Association (JFA) to the Uganda Police Force and the Ministry of Health.
This training is one of the programs held under “The Project for the Provision of Second-hand Ambulances and Fire Trucks in 2 Cities and 11 Districts” through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The project aims to contribute to strengthen Uganda’s fire prevention and rescue services, as well as emergency medical services, by providing 6 second-hand ambulances and 7 second-hand fire trucks and the skills training by JFA.
Government officials from the Uganda Police Force, such as the Director of Human Resource Development, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.
