On 31st January, Ambassador Fukuzawa attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of an Inpatient Ward at Apeitolim Health CentreII in Napak District” and formally handed over the newly constructed inpatient ward, a 5 stance VIP pit latrine and a set of medical furniture. At the ceremony, Ambassador Fukuzawa expressed his hope that the facilities would be used with utmost care for future patient.
The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 92,241 USD, equivalent to 300 million Ug. Shs, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
This project focused on addressing the need for inpatient ward at the health centre to improve the health situation in the community even better than before.
