GGP Grant: Japan Provides a Science Laboratory Block in Kabale District

On December 3, Ambassador Fukuzawa officiated in the commissioning of the newly constructed science laboratory block at St. Mary’s College Rushoroza in Kabale District. “The Project for the Construction of a Science Laboratory Block at St. Mary’s College Rushoroza in Kabale District” was signed between the Embassy of Japan and the school in 2018 with a total grant of 85,251 USD equivalent to over 290 million Ug. Shs. The fund was used to construct a fully furnished science laboratory block with 3 rooms which are for biology, chemistry and physics. This new lab will enable more than 1,000 students to conduct sufficient and safe practical lessons for science subjects.
