GGP Grant: Handover Ceremony for the Project for the Construction of Classroom Blocks at Amorigoga Primary School in Kwania District

On 17 July, Deputy Ambassador Norimasa Yoshida attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of Classroom Blocks at Amorigoga Primary School in Kwania District” to hand over two newly constructed classroom blocks, three latrine blocks, and classroom furniture.
The ceremony was attended by the Resident District Commissioner of Kwania District and many other guests, who expressed their appreciation for Japan's cooperation.
The project was implemented under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), with a grant of 99,134 USD, equivalent to over 330 million Ugandan Shillings.
The school had been short of classrooms as its enrolment grew. Through this project, classroom overcrowding has been alleviated and the sanitary environment has been improved, enabling pupils to learn in a better environment.
