GGP Grant: Japan Provides a Children’s Ward and an Ambulance in Kasese District

On 18 February, the Embassy of Japan commissioned a newly constructed Children’s Ward and an Ambulance in St. Paul Health Centre IV in Kasese District.

“The Project for the Construction of a Children’s Ward in St. Paul Health Centre IV in Kasese District” was signed between the Embassy of Japan and the School in 2018, with a total grant of 86,760 USD equivalent to over 310 million Ug.Shs. The grant was used for the Construction of a Children’s ward, Pit Latrine and provision of a set of Medical equipment in order to provide safe medical services to 1,200 children.

“The Project for Supplying an Ambulance at St. Paul Health Centre IV in Kasese District” was signed in 2020 with a total grant of 19,888 USD equivalent to over 70 million Ug. Shs. The grant was used to facelift, transport, and register the donated ambulance.

St. Paul Health Centre IV has a maternity ward which was constructed through the GGP scheme in 2012.
