On 27 September, Charge d’Affaires Yoshimura attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of a Girls’ Dormitory at Ndeeba Senior Secondary School in Kayunga District” to hand over the newly constructed Girls' dormitory with furniture and Toilet and shower block.

Minister of State for Planning, Hon Amos Lugolobi, District Women Member of Parliament, Hon Aidah Nantaba, Government Officials from Kayunga district, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.

The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 92,543 USD, equivalent to over 329 million Ug. Shs, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).

We expect that this project will contribute to improving the living environment for girls at the school and preventing girls from dropping out of school, as part of the solution to problems surrounding girls such as sex crimes and early marriage.
