GGP Grant: Japan Supports Girls Education in Arua

On October 7th, Ambassador Fukuzawa officiated in the commissioning of the newly constructed classroom blocks at Ediofe Girls’ Primary School in Arua District.

”The Project for the Improvement of Learning Environment at Ediofe Girls Primary School in Arua District” was signed between the Embassy of Japan and the health centre in 2020 with a total grant of 89,905 USD equivalent to over 314 million Ug. Shs.
The fund was used to construct classroom blocks with a water harvesting system and a latrine block, procure a set of furniture, which will provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for more than 2,000 pupils including refugees.
