Position: Clerk
Section: Administration
Commencement date of appointment: February 2026
Period: until March 31, 2027 and renewable yearly
Probation period: Three (3) to Six (6) months
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 17:15 (Lunch break: 12:30-13:30)
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
・Holding a Bachelor’s degree or above.
・Ability to work in English and basic understanding of Japanese is highly preferred.
・Computer skills and proficiency in office computer tools especially Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
・Good communication skills both written and verbal.
・Having ability and license of driving motorbike and 4-wheeler car
・Ability to work independently and efficiently.
・Prior working experience in administrative/office position for at least 3 years.
・Non-Ugandan applicants are required to have a valid work permit.
 
Job Description:
・Assisting procurement and managing related tasks for Office and Ambassador’s official residence maintenance.
・Managing the maintenance of official equipment, properties and facilities and coordinating repairs with service providers.
・Assisting and delivering tax claim returns to Uganda Revenue Authority.
・Managing diplomats and officials protocol related procedures and assistance
・Organize and coordinate official cargo and logistics.
・Handling official events in preparation, communicating with suppliers, and assisting during the events.
・Emergency driver for official vehicles.
・Any other requests/tasks assigned by supervisor
