GGP Grant: Handover Ceremony for The Project for the Construction of a Girls’ Dormitory at St. Kizito Technical School in Ibanda District

On 14 June, 2024, Ambassador Takuya Sasayama attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of a Girls’ Dormitory at St. Kizito Technical School in Ibanda District” to hand over the newly constructed girls’ dormitory block and latrine block.
 
Government Officials from Ibanda District, such as the Member of Parliament, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.
 
The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 86,530 USD, equivalent to over 308 million Ugandan Shillings, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
 
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of the enrolment of girls at St. Kizito Technical School, by alleviating their living conditions and doubling the current capacity of the girls’ dormitory.
