GGP Grant: Handover Ceremony for The Project for the Construction of a Girls’ Dormitory at Nyakishojwa Secondary School in Mitooma District

On 7 June, 2024, Ambassador Takuya Sasayama attended the commissioning ceremony of “The Project for the Construction of a Girls’ Dormitory at Nyakishojwa Secondary School in Mitooma District” to hand over the newly constructed girls’ dormitory block and latrine block.
Government Officials from Mitooma District, such as the LC5 Chairperson and Member of Parliament, and many other guests attended the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the cooperation.
The facilities were provisioned at a total cost of 77,674 USD, equivalent to over 270 million Ugandan Shillings, through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of the enrolment of girls Nyakishojwa Secondary School, by alleviating their living conditions and doubling the current capacity of the girls’ dormitory.
